The cost of your trip includes a certain amount of skiing and riding, measured in vertical metres/feet, which we record each day. Let’s take a look at how you achieve that amount and what happens if weather or other exceptional circumstances get in the way.
Guaranteed Vertical Amounts
The Vertical Guarantee is the predetermined minimum amount of vertical descent per trip that we guarantee you will have the opportunity to heli-ski. It varies depending on the trip date, type and duration.
Unlimited Vertical at No Additional Cost. If you ski or snowboard more than your trip’s Vertical Guarantee, there is no extra charge. That’s right — all additional vertical is free.

REFUNDS

If you do not reach your Vertical Guarantee due to operational factors, such as being unable to fly because of bad weather or a mechanical issue, you will be eligible for a refund. The refund is calculated based on the difference between the Vertical Guarantee and the vertical you had the opportunity to ski during your trip.
CMH will not issue refunds if you fail to reach your Vertical Guarantee due to injury, illness, accidents, skiing ability, physical condition, or personal choice (for example, if you decide to stay at the lodge or return early and stop skiing).
You may choose to apply the refund toward a future CMH trip (summer or winter) or receive it as a credit card refund or cheque.

Option 1: Vertical Refund
Processed within 2 weeks of your trip end date. It may be applied to a future CMH trip or issued as a credit card refund.

Option 2: Rebooking Incentive Credit (RBI)
30–60% of the Vertical Guarantee skied: Standard refund plus 15% of your trip’s base value.
Less than 30% of the Vertical Guarantee skied: Standard refund plus 25% of your trip’s base value.

Rebooking Incentive Credit (RBI) Terms:
Non-refundable and will remain on your account until applied to a new booking.
Processed by our Banff office within 2 weeks following your trip end date.
Valid for 2 years toward a new summer or winter booking.
Cannot be applied to an existing trip or additional charges.
Will expire if not used within 2 years.

WAIVER

Liability Waiver and Release Agreement
Like most sports, heli-skiing involves inherent risks. It is skiing and snowboarding in a wild and uncontrolled mountain environment. The terrain is neither marked nor groomed and includes potential hazards. Despite the most diligent efforts to reduce risk, incidents may still occur.
All CMH guests must complete and sign a Waiver and Release Agreement, Assumption of Risk, Warning, Indemnity and Consent to Medical Treatment.
Liability Waiver and Release Agreement for Adults (19 years of age and older).
The waiver and release agreements for this season are view-only. If you have booked a trip, you will be notified when it is time to sign your waiver closer to your departure date.
